How to Post Articles

Method One
Type the name of your media article into the box below using the titling rules.
This will create a new page that is pre-filled with the Article template. Fill out the template (see the example below if you need help). When you're done, hit the SHOW PREVIEW button. If everything looks good, click the SAVE PAGE button.
To create the link for your media article, go to your character's bio page, and scroll down to the Logs section (yes, Logs, unless you want to make a Media section), then click on the edit link to the right.
In the edit box, type the title of the article (see the titling rules below), then highlight the entire string and click the Inline Link (Image:Internal link icon.png) button. That should surround your article title with double brackets [[ ]]. When that's done, hit the SAVE PAGE button.
Click the SHOW PREVIEW button. The new link should be blue. If it's red, then you've mistyped the name of the article. Double-check the article's title, and make the necessary corrections. You're done!
Method Two
To create the link for your media article, go to your character's bio page, and scroll down to the Logs section (yes, Logs, unless you want to make a Media section), then click on the edit link to the right.
In the edit box, type the title of the article (see the titling rules below), then highlight the entire string and click the Inline Link (Image:Internal link icon.png) button. That should surround your article title with double brackets [[ ]]. When that's done, hit the SAVE PAGE button.
Now, you should have a red link to the article in your Logs section. It's red because it doesn't link to a page with any information on it. Click on the link, and you will be redirected to a new page with an edit box.
Paste the Article info into the edit box, fill out all of the information, then paste in your article. Click on the SHOW PREVIEW button and make sure that everything looks nice before hitting the SAVE PAGE button. This will cut down on unnecessary edits.
Titling
To keep articles consistent, they should be titled in the following format:
Article Code: YYYY-MM-DD - Name of Article
Article Codes
ARTICLE KEY
GG = Gotham Gazette DP = Daily Planet FF = Fawcett City Front Page CPN = Central City Picture-News OM = Opal Mirror (Opal City) DS = Daily Star (Star City) AP = Associated Press (for articles outside the above major papers) NC = News Cast (11 o' clock news, etc) NET = Internet (YouTube, Newsblogs, etc) TAB = Tabloids (National Whisperer and other gossip rags)
Posting
All articles must contain the Article template. The Article template will automatically group the article into the Media category.
To use the Article template, copy-and-paste the following:
{{Article
|Title=
|Date=
|Reporter=
|Article=
|}}
Fill in your information after the =
Example
Let's see that crazy wikicode in action! Here is an example of the code, and the output:
{{Article

|Reporter=by Eve
|Article=This is how the article wikicode works. Doesn't it look so pretty?
