History
Originally formed by Gorilla Grodd to act as a counterpart to the expanded Justice League, the Legion of Doom was eventually taken over by Lex Luthor, an event that has led to bitter acrimony between the two criminal masterminds. Recently, Sinestro seized the reins of the group; however, when personal Lantern-related reasons required that his focus shift, he left the Legion in Star Sapphire's care. Luthor then returned to seize power of the Legion once more.
